Spring in my Garden

Yesterday I saw my first Brimstone, an unmistakable flash of sulphur yellow. I have never managed to photograph one, so when it settled briefly on a log I grabbed my camera and dashed out.  Needless to say just as I was about to press the shutter it flew off over the hedge.  Having gone outside into the sunshine I decided to 'seize the day'.

    beautiful pictures Gill..spring definitely on its way in Lincolnshire too. However sadly feel i may have lost my frogs..found one dead and no sign of the others in my pond.

    i'm sure that wildlife can smell a camera at 100 yards away!

    I thought the hard winter would finish mine Maggie but they arrived eventually and I have spawn now.

    I get lucky sometimes Miss Hedgepenny but so far brimstones and orange tips have eluded me.

    gill thanks for words of encouragement..had to dispose of two dead frogs this afternoon..no frogspawn yet..hoping if necessary i can get some from the school as i donated loads from our pond last year.
